1/2 Gill Measure
The Royal Naval rum was measured in half-gill tots and variously diluted, often into a two-gill (half-pint) measure.
These measures are made in the time-honoured way – from skilfully hand-beaten brass, copper-plated, polished, then lined with silver to neutralise taste.
The bases are stamped with the prestigious HMS logo. One supplied.
